The Museum of Illyefalva, located in the Séra Mansion (also home to the Rustica sewing company), is the guardian of the memories of authors Mór Jókai, Kálmán Mikszáth and Dezső Szabó. Jókai and Mikszáth represented the riding of Illyefalva in the National Assembly in the 1880s, while Dezső Szabó wrote his novel titled ‘The Abandoned Village’ (Az elsodort falu, 1919) based on his Illyefalva experiences. Statues of these three writers stand in front of the Museum. The material on exhibit inside consists mostly of photographs, obtained with kind collaboration of the Petőfi Literary Museum (Budapest), the County Library in Kovászna and the Sekler National Museum in Sepsiszentgyörgy (Sfîntu Gheorghe).
