Unitarian church (Sepsiszentkirály) |
An important heritage building in Sepsiszentkirály is the Unitarian church, built in the 15th century in the Gothic style. Studies show that it is likely a reconstruction of the original church, probably built in honour of Saint Stephen, the first king of Hungary. The sacristy door and the tabernacle were excavated later. The building is surrounded by a circular stone wall, from which rises the 17th-century bell tower. The bell, dating from 1842, was cast in Sepsiszentgyörgy.
